Hahah, actually, the whole hotel was a jail once. It became a hotel after someone decided to utilize and build up the building that was already there. So to keep the history of the building, they left some of the jail doors, the brick and the central area look of the jail, but made it more trendy. If that makes any sense. I guess it’s a contradiction because one, a person goes to jail usually against their choice or desires, while as, a person goes to a hotel more or less by choice. There’s the contradiction
The hotel name was The Liberty Hotel… which I sorta think is a contradiction in itself because to be liberated is to be freed.. where the hotel was once a jail and a place of bondage
